MARVA is now part of the slab distribution arm of Construction Resources, which is led by UMI Stone. In the summer of 2024, Marva branches will be rebranded to UMI.

MARVA opens first state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Richmond, VA in a new centrally located facility.

MARVA relocates from Suffolk, VA to Portsmouth, VA and launches the first Stone Boutique, which is recognized as one of the most inspiring Showrooms in the country.

MARVA Marble, Co. becomes MARVA Marble & Granite, Inc. (“MARVA”) after the introduction of granite to our product line.

1989 – MARVA’S DISTRIBUTION EXPANDS
MARVA’s Beltsville, MD location opens, and our natural stone line expands when MARVA adds marble for countertops as a new product for distribution.

1989 – MARVA IS FEATURED ON THE COVER OF STONE WORLD MAGAZINE
MARVA’s first feature is the cover of Stone World Magazine. Our Scinto Corporate Tower lobby project featuring Tinos Green marble from Greece gives MARVA world-wide recognition.

1988 – MARVA OFFERS MARBLE TILES FROM AROUND THE WORLD
MARVA begins to offer popular marble tiles from around the world. Spain, Italy, and Turkey are several countries featured in the new expansive product line.
